How To Deal With Lack Of Inspiration

Something I've been suffering from lately is a lack of inspiration and I don't know whether that's due to being ill throughout January, the lengthy break from university and my regular routine or something else altogether but I feel as though it's coming back! I thought I would share a few tips that I have received from other people and somethings that I have found myself to have worked.

Pinterest
Where do most people go for inspiration? Pinterest! I was naively unaware of how many people still use Pinterest. It can be used for inspiration for planning events, losing weight, outfit and makeup ideas and so much more. I created an account and have been a bit obsessed! I have a mood board for recipes I want to try, for outfit ideas as I'm having a real style crisis and even one for my 21st birthday which isn't for another 10 months yet! This has been one of the most useful apps and you all need to try it if you haven't already as I know how late to the game I am!

Lists
This speaks for itself in terms of what it is! Lists are one of the most commonly used ways to organise and get inspired. By creating lists you can clearly see what you need to do in order to achieve something whether that's a list of what you have to do that day, place you want to visit or a list of things you'd like to buy. Having it there in front of you really does inspire you to get it done and achieve what you want!

Pictures/physical goals
I struggled on how to word this one but I have found having pictures or an item on display that relates to the goal really inspires you to get working on it. Just before Christmas I bought the most gorgeous dress for an event but it didn't quite fit and instead of sending it back, I promised myself that I would lose a little weight to get in it. I have put the dress on front of my wardrobe so that I am always looking at it which prompts me to go workout, eat a bit better and work towards getting in it. I have known people to have their fitness goals set as their phone backgrounds or to have a picture of them in a place they want to travel to again in their room.

Some quotes to inspire you further:
'Wake up and smell the inspiration!'

'Inspiration exists but it has to find you working'

'The secret to getting ahead is getting started!'

If you are struggling to find inspiration, don't worry, don't get down, it will come to you but you might just have to go looking for it! Share some tips on how you get inspired!

Thank you for reading!

xoxo
